Dana Halferty

Dana Halferty has been finding ways to travel with her guitar since the age of 12, discovering power early on in nonverbal expression. In her desire to unpack complex questions about human relationship, she uses writing as a personal tool for parsing emotional spaces and asking questions. Her use of ethereal tones and earthy layers evoke a sense of intimacy, and mixing those feelings with thick blankets of reverb, chorus and orchestral layers has led to her distinct dreamlike sound. Halferty has released 2 albums with the band Parlours and is currently working on her first solo record. She continues to release & license music and has been featured on tv shows on FOX, ABC, CMT, various feature films and commercials.She is currently based in Des Moines, IA, but is always packed for the next adventure.
