We welcome you to design your own creative retreat. Tap into the creative nectar of this magical place. Among those who have worked here are author Barry Lopez, essayist Debra Gwartney, adventurer Noah Strycker, poet Jerry Martien, master printmaker Pat Clark, novelist John Daniel, and many more.

Undistracted Time + Your Creative Passion + Space

PLAYA has everything you need for a productive and restorative creative retreat. In addition, you will have access to local hikes, boats for the swimming pond, and boots for the dynamic playa. Swans, flickers, raptors, and other birdlife can be seen and heard from the pond and trees around the Commons. PLAYA has eight cabins, nine bedrooms, a commercial kitchen, and main Commons building. Deisgn your own retreat cohort to join you. We are unable to host weddings at this time, and we ask that no more than 18 people be in a cohort.

Cancelation Policy
To make a registration cancellation, please call 541.943.3983 or email trina@playasummerlake.org.
– Canceling a registration 21+ days prior to workshop = 100% refund less a $35 administrative fee
–  Canceling a registration 14-20 days before workshop = 50% refund less a $35 administrative fee
– There is no refund for registration cancelations made less than 14 days before the first day of the workshop. 
– Refunds will be issued by check or PayPal
– PLAYA may cancel a workshop 14 days before the start date if enrollment is too low or if requested by the instructor. We will notify you, and you will receive a 100% refund.
