Emmy Lingscheit is an interdisciplinary artist whose work critically investigates the ambiguities and exchanges between organisms and non-organisms, and between humans and non-humans. She has held numerous residencies, including Ucross and Kohler Arts/Industry, and exhibits widely. Her work has been exhibited recently at Davidson Galleries in Seattle, WA, The International Print Center in New York, NY, and the Lithographic Academy in Tidaholm, Sweden, as well as in a solo exhibition at the John Michael Kohler Arts Center in Sheboygan, WI. Emmy holds a BFA from St. Cloud State University in Minnesota, and an MFA from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville. Emmy is currently an assistant professor at the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign, where she is the coordinator of the printmaking area.
