Jesus Solis is an M.S. student at the University of Arizona (UA) researching inorganic contaminants surrounding hazardous waste sites and their relation to community exposure. With an extensive background in geology and airborne contaminants, Jesus has managed to take his prior knowledge and applied it towards helping historically underserved and underrepresented communities surrounding these hazardous waste sites. In his short time at the UA, Jesus has become involved in educational outreach through the Flandrau Science Center and Planetarium; a feat which has allowed him to pursue earth systems education and other interests.
