Karl LeClair is a visual artist based in Boise, ID. He maintains an active studio practice and explores printmaking, drawing, and installation. Having grown up in New England, the vast landscapes of the American West have heavily influenced LeClair’s work in the past few years. Landscape serves as both literal and metaphorical subject and setting for the interpretation of natural processes and phenomenological experiences. LeClair was recently awarded “Best in Show” and a residency with Playa at Summer Lake in Central Oregon from the Bend Art Center’s 2nd Biennial National Print Exhibition 2018.
