Bio – Leslie Schwartz
Leslie Schwartz is the award-winning author of two novels, Jumping the Green and Angels Crest, as well as numerous short stories and essays. Her novels have been translated into 13 foreign languages. Angels Crest was adapted as a film in 2011. She is the recipient of many awards, including the Kalliope Woman Writer of the Year Award, The James Jones Award for Best First Novel, and several Artist-in-Residence Grants from the Los Angeles Department of Cultural Affairs. She currently teaches writing at the Los Angeles Municipal Art Gallery and at the Jewish Women’s Theatre at The Braid. She is at work on her third novel.
