Mark studied cello in Melbourne, Australia, playing classical repertoire with various chamber ensembles and orchestras. He lived for many years in Buenos Aires, Argentina where he played and toured with tango ensembles. Here he began developing a new technique focused on improvisation and jazz and continues to do so in Portland, Oregon.
