I see the world as a web of interconnections. My background in wildlife conservation, scientific illustration and landscaping deeply inform my current nature-themed artwork. I use watercolor on paper and wood panel in a loose abstract way to build lots of rich colorful layers, which forms a dynamic environment that I add tightly rendered plants and animals too. The results are exciting and playful and I believe it helps people associate good feelings with nature. These positive feelings lead to more positive life choices, which will inevitably benefit the environment. I also view the creative landscaping I do as art. Native plants and natural features like fallen logs and rock outcroppings become my palate and create an awe-inspiring space for people and wildlife to thrive.
