In 2026, the PLAYA community celebrates 15 years of welcoming artists, scientists, writers, and naturalists to our home on the shores of Summer Lake, Oregon.

What happens at PLAYA is difficult to describe until you experience it. People arrive with questions, ideas, and projects. Ever-changing cloud formations across the sky, light across the lake, and conversations across disciplines create the conditions for new ideas to take root.

Our residents leave with a renewed connection to the earth, a deeper sense of purpose shaped by working alongside others, and friendships that bind them to this landscape long after they leave.

This work continues because of the support of people like you.
