Amanda Millis received her MFA in painting from the Massachusetts College of Art and Design in Boston, and a BA in Studio Art from Smith College. She studied painting and drawing at the New York Studio School under a merit scholarship, studied at Chautauqua Institute and spent a post-baccalaureate year at Brandeis University. She is a lending artist at the DeCordova Museum and Sculpture Park. Her work is in public and private collections in Boston and Sydney. She was a finalist in the Inaugural Benalla Nude art Prize at the Benalla Art Gallery, VIC (2014) and in the Percival Portrait Prize at the Perc Tucker Regional Gallery, QLD (2016). She paints figurative and abstract works, often working from life as a point of departure. Amanda moved back to Boston in early 2017 and now works in Fountain Street Studios, Framingham, MA.
