Dawn Pichón Barrón is an Indigenous scholar, educator, writer, wife and mother, who lives on the lands of the Medicine Creek (Treaty) tribes and bands. She is the director of the Native Pathways Program at the Evergreen State College, a board member of Artist Trust, and a doctoral candidate at Te Whare O Awanuiārangi. Her chapbook, Escape Girl Blues, 2018 and other writing /publications can be found on the interwebs under her name. Dawn believes in stories, the stars, rescuing Chihuahuas, being an optimistic realist, and that music can heal.
