Heather Goodwind

Heather Goodwind uses mixed traditional media to create complex layers within sparse imagery that draws inspiration from both Asian and Modern art. She has exhibited throughout the US and internationally, including in Argentina, where she lived for 10 years. Her education includes a BA in sculpture from Portland State University, individual studies with traditional and contemporary artists during a year-long stay in China, and a continuing obsession with popular science books. Originally from Scranton, Pennsylvania, she now lives in Portland, Oregon, with her Australian husband, their Argentine daughter, and a pair of backyard chickens. www.heathergoodwind.com
