He is Professor and Head of the Department of Crop and Soil Science, Oregon State University (cropandsoil.oregonstate.edu), and Principal Artist of Soilscape Studio (soilscapestudio.com). He is contributor and co-editor of Field to Palette – The Soil Art Dialogues, an art science book featuring dialogues and projects by dozens of scientist-artist teams.
