
Oregon born, and Appalachia raised, Jennie J. Castle is an artist and curator interested in the connections between identity and place. Through a photography centered practice, she explores how societal paradigms affect the individual, often challenging dominant, contemporary narratives, and amending how stories are told.
Castle is the Associate Director and Curator at The Arts Center in Corvallis, OR. She holds a MFA in photography from Massachusetts College of Art and Design and a BA from The University of Akron. Her work has been exhibited in galleries nationally including SoWA Gallery (Boston, MA), Filter Space (Chicago, IL), Salem Art Association (Salem, OR) and Photographic Center Northwest (Seattle, WA)
