Born in Manchester, England and a photographer since the age of seven, Julia Bradshaw spent nine years living and working in Munich, Germany prior to moving to the US. These international moves and interest in inter-cultural communication form the basis for some of her photography or video-art projects. Other art projects are influenced by her social environment such as being a foreigner, reading, looking at art, and being interested in all things photographic including the history and technology of photography. She received her MFA in photography from San Jose State University in 2007 and works as assistant professor for Art and New Media Communications at Oregon State University. Her work can be viewed on her website www.juliabradshaw.com.
