Katie Miller (she/her) was born and raised in the wilderness of Northeastern Minnesota’s Iron Range, but is now deeply rooted in the Pacific Northwest. Miller’s interdisciplinary practice is situated at the intersection of art, architecture, and science, and is rooted in research, experimentation, and observation.

Miller received a BFA in sculpture from the University of Washington and an MFA in glass from the Tyler School of Art.

Miller’s creative practice has been supported by 4Culture, Cill Rialaig, Joshua Tree Highlands, PLAYA: Center for Art & Science, Puffin Foundation, McMillen Foundation, Seattle Office of Arts & Culture, Seattle Art Museum, Montello Foundation, Bullseye Glass, Punch Projects, Artist Trust, Art Farm, and Pilchuck Glass School among others.

Her work has been exhibited nationally in museums, galleries, and artist-run spaces. Her work is held in public and private collections including 4Culture’s public art collection at Harborview Medical Center, Washington State Public Art Collection, King County Portable Works Art Collection, Amazon, MadArt, Hoedemaker Pfeiffer, Blanton Turner and others.
