Mark Adams is a painter, printmaker, writer and cartographer with the National Park Service based on Cape Cod and Martha’s Vineyard since 1987. He exhibits regularly at The Schoolhouse Gallery, Provincetown where he has focused on works that use layered images of maps, personal notebook pages, text, data and images of nature accumulated on paper and wood panels. Adams’s work is about things that imperfectly represent the nature to our society, harvesting curiosity, wonderment and natural history as source material.
