Otavio is a self-taught artist, with great intimacy with the graphic language through my work. The relation between engraving, monotypy, and drawing is the field from where I develop an effective investigation of memory.

I was part of the collective Ateliê Espaço Coringa from 2003 to 2008 and Casa de Tijolo, between 2011 and 2012. I have participated in exhibitions in Brazil and abroad, such as the exhibition Superposer, at the Atelier Press Papier (Canada), during an artistic residency, and Travesía, in Havana, at Casa Simon Bolivar, in 2010.

I have a degree in Social Sciences from USP (Universidade de Sao Paulo) and several experiences in artistic-pedagogical projects, including participation in the educational coordination team of the 30th São Paulo Biennial and courses at the Tomie Ohtake Institute and SESC. Currently, I produce my work in Ateliê Fidalga and teach Visual Arts at the Fabricas de Cultura Project.
