Sandhill + Ceramic Studios | Outback Dark Sky Celebration (April 16-20, 2026)

Add PLAYA’s largest studio to your order for private use of Sandhill Studio and the ceramics facilities during your program. The ceramics kiln is currently not operational.

This expansive space houses 2 printing presses, a sink and large movable tables. The studio is 22′ x 22′ with ceilings that are nearly 18′ high. Sandhill has large wall space that can support pinned work or use the metal magnetic strip to hang prints. Tables and presses are all moveable and the south-facing studio garage door can be opened for more light. There are additional windows high on the the northern wall. Water-soluble inks only.

This studio is adjacent to the outdoor Ceramic Studio located in the Loafing Shed. The Ceramic Studio includes 1 kick-wheel, 1 electric kiln with manual controls (Duncan – not to go over Cone 06), shelving, and various supplies within Sandhill Studio such as a few boards for drying and canvas for handbuilding/manual rolling. This is only available at certain times of year.

This purchase includes both the Loafing Shed Ceramic Studio and Sandhill Studio. These studios are located on the north side of campus just to the left of the main gate.
