Rebecca Burrell (she/they) is an emerging interdisciplinary artist and writer based in Portland, Oregon. She is a 2024 graduate of Pacific Northwest College of Art, where she received an MFA in Applied Craft + Design and an MA in Critical Studies. In all her work, she investigates the ways that capitalism and digital culture disconnects us from our bodies, from one another, and the tangible spaces we inhabit. In this, she searches for antidotes that bring us closer to our humanity. She has shown her artwork in Portland at Carnation Contemporary, the Center for Contemporary Art & Culture, and Expensify Gallery; and out-of-state at the PASEO Festival, in Taos, New Mexico. Prior to focusing on her own art and research, Rebecca was a nonprofit leader for nearly 20 years at the media arts center Open Signal, the Regional Arts & Culture Council, Museum of Contemporary Craft, and many other organizations. She has also been a co-founder of the collective Arts Workers for Equity; a leadership council member at the Oregon Community Foundation; and an advisory council chair at Americans for the Arts, a national arts advocacy organization. www.rgbbb.com @rgburrell
