Rebecca Gilman’s (she/hers) plays include Swing State, Luna Gale, Boy Gets Girl, Twilight Bowl, Spinning into Butter, Blue Surge, The Glory of Living, The Sweetest Swing in Baseball, The Heart is a Lonely Hunter, Dollhouse, The Crowd You’re in With, and A Woman of the World. Her plays have been produced by (among others) the Goodman Theatre, the Royal Court Theatre, Lincoln Center Theater, Audible Theater, the Public Theater, Manhattan Theatre Club, Hampstead Theatre, Steppenwolf Theatre, The Acting Company, New York Theatre Workshop, and MCC Theater. She is a past Guggenheim Fellow and was named a Finalist for the Pulitzer Prize in Drama for her play, The Glory of Living.

Alongside her writing partner, Elizabeth Archer, Rebecca is currently under commission from the Goodman Theatre to create a new musical with the Goodman’s Artistic Director, Susan Booth, and Emmy-winning composers Doug Rockwell and Tova Litvin. She is also under commission from the Vineyard Theatre in NYC under the auspices of the Berwin Lee Playwriting Award.
