Sarah Fagan (b. 1985, Shelton, CT) received a BA in English and Fine Arts from Stonehill College in North Easton, MA and a post-baccalaureate certificate from the Oregon College of Art and Craft in Portland, OR. She is currently wrapping up her MFA at the University of Texas at Austin, where she will graduate in May 2019. While living in Portland, Sarah was a member on the long-running cooperaive, Blackfish Gallery, from 2013-2016. Sarah has attended several residencies, including a year-long residency at the Umbrella Arts Center in Concord, MA in 2016. It was there, down the road from Thoreau’s Walden Pond, that walking and collecting became a part of her practice.
