An avid reader of contemporary fiction and obituaries, Sue Ann Higgens is a writer living in Portland, Oregon. A frequent traveler, Higgens finds leaving the routines of home–to the Selkirks or a troglodyte village in Tunisia–unfurls her creative canvas. She has been a doula, a pastry chef, a high school teacher, and a sweatshop sewist. She aspires to make peace and very thin lefse.
