Wayne Bund (He/him/they) is a visual artist and writer based in Portland, Oregon. Born in Portland and raised on a farm in Boring, Bund’s work explores the intersection of fantasy and identity, creating spaces that embrace transformation, play, and the fluidity of self. He crafts stories and images that exist outside of normative structures, prioritizing feminist and queer agendas and celebrating the weird and the magical. Rooted in performance, visual storytelling, and the written word, Bund’s work invites audiences into a world where the personal and mythical intertwine, where identity is both a question and a celebration.

Bund was chosen for the Oregon Contemporary’s 2026 Artist Biennial. He has exhibited nationally, with highlights including the Seattle Art Museum and the Portland Institute for Contemporary Art. Their interdisciplinary practice has been supported by grants from the Ford Family Foundation, WESTAF, Regional Arts and Culture Council, and the Oregon Arts Commission, as well as residencies at Caldera and PLAYA Summer Lake. He studied at Pacific Northwest College of Art where he got his MFA. He is a Pisces with a Scorpio Rising.
