  • Visit Agency and Science Groups tables near The Commons
  • Enjoy a 17-minute Burn Ball Video in The Loft

1:00 – 3:00 pm 

  • Sound walk/tour/recordings – at Moonglade Music studio
  • 1:15 – 2:15 pm – Walking tour (half mile round trip) on easy terrain to the Toolbox fire burn scar to observe, analyze (with prompts) and share thoughts on the ecological and human dimensions of living with climate change, how forest and rangeland managers try to manage for resilient landscapes in the face of change – EJ Davis, OSU Extension

3:00-3:15 Volunteers convene everyone at The Commons

3:15-4:00 in The Commons

  • Keynote address by writer/philosopher Kathleen Dean Moore,
    JUNIPER WISDOM: What a Tree Says about Wildfire and Water

Everything about a juniper tree—from the science of its spicy smell to the songs of its birds – speaks of the interdependence of lives on the sage-juniper steppe. What does this mean for how we live? 

  • Dance or clap along to the Acronym Stomp, music for line-dancing, with words by Kathleen Dean Moore and music by Dana Reason – an opportunity to have a bit of fun.
